We Are MGroup™ – Interview with Kristin Olinger
Kristin began working with MGroup nine years ago and is a valuable part of the MGroup family. As Project Manager, Kristin is responsible for coordinating with our manufacturing team, account managers, and clients. She drives projects through pre-production, production, and delivery and provides clients the most seamless process. Our team wouldn’t be complete without her!

What is your role at MGroup™?
KO: I am a Project Manager. I started in 2012 as an assistant to the Director of Operations. Soon after, the department of Project Support was created. I worked as one of the senior project support associates until 2017. In 2018, I took the role of Project Manager and have loved the role ever since.
As a project manager, I am responsible for coordinating with our manufacturing team, account managers, and clients to drive projects through pre-production, production, and delivery. I review and verify shop drawings and work with our clients through the revision and approval process. I maintain client communication regarding critical milestone dates to meet delivery requirements.
How did you end up working with MGroup™?
KO: After moving home from living abroad in Scotland for three years, I owe getting my foot through the door to my mom, Fiona Tracy. She worked for MGroup, and after speaking with her in more detail about the hospitality industry, I thought it might be a good fit for me, and it was!
How long have you been with MGroup™?
KO: I have been with MGroup for nine years now; I started in September of 2012.
What do you enjoy most about working for MGroup™?
KO: The people. I could not be more grateful to work with such a close-knit team!
What is your experience and background in the industry?
KO: I moved to Scotland after graduating and worked in high-end retail for several years, as I mentioned above. When I returned home, the opportunity to work for MGroup presented itself, and I haven’t looked back! Most of my family have worked in this industry, so it just seemed right to follow in their footsteps.
What are the values that drive you?
KO: Honesty, dependability, and a passion for what I do.
What is the most interesting thing you’ve done while at MGroup™ or something that was the most memorable about working at MGroup™?
KO: Most memorable was returning to my MGroup family with open arms after taking a sales position. I was always interested in sales and had the opportunity to pursue it but soon learned it was not the right fit. At that time, it was clear my strengths were more suited to the operational side of this industry, and I am so thankful to be back and to continue to grow here at MGroup!
